Kamea 11 Months

Kamea is 11 months. I haven't posted much about her current doings so here goes; 6 teeth (2 more in the works), 32" tall, 21 pounds, she smiles and then often blinks both eyes, waves, says dada, says mama, says hi, signs more, signs all done, weaned to whole milk, loves cheese, and not a pro walker yet but walks across the room (slowly).

Loves to play and stand in the kitchen drawer

Turkey Trot 5K

I ran a Turkey Trot 5K this past weekend. I enjoyed getting back into the running scene but it was a bit chilly for my liking.

Yep you guessed it, I was running so fast the cone just toppled over. Check out the beautiful view I got to enjoy while running, snow capped mountains.

Finish!

Beautiful picture of the leaves, but see the ice on the ground, it was cold!!

Suzanne's 27th Birthday

Suzanne turned 27 on the 1st of November and she requested a Thanksgiving style Dinner. We celebrated with all the trimmings, a 24 pound turkey, and party hats.

Blast from The Past

We went to Salem at the end of October to celebrate Mom's 60th Birthday. Crystal and Ant put together a great Blast from the Past. Everyone was to dress up in outifts from the 60's and we ate food inspired by that era; meatloaf, jello with fruit in it, KFC, mashed potatoes, pigs in a blanket, coleslaw, etc.

We also stopped by and saw Gramps and Mariann on our way home.

I might be 60 but I can still hula hoop! (One of my fav's of mom)

Loving to have a seat just her size
They fixed up the old railroad bridge over the Willamette into a walking path so mom and I went for a stroll.

Park

One luxury of living in a planned neighborhood, its filled with parks. I have never had to share this park, when we arrive its always empty. We had a fun Sunday evening at the park.

***In case your wondering Ryan is the one who gets all the photo credits he is getting quite good at photography.

I wonder what bark chips taste like
I love to swing

Pumpkin Patch

Last Weekend we headed out to our local pumpkin patch. We avoided the carnival type pumpkin patches and instead found one that boasted great pumpkins and fresh apple cider.

Something very sweet about this photo
Kamea loved pounding on the pumpkins and the hollow sound it made

Umm mom this zucchini is bigger than me

Westley Steen

Number 12 Grandchild was born on September 28th. I had the great privilege of being able to spend the week of Westley's birth with Kyra and Sean. Also Annie and Nettie were able to come so we had a wonderful week of meeting Westley, cooking for Kyra and Sean and helping out any way we could.

Grandpa Grant's 80th Birthday

For the Labor Day Holiday we headed over to Rupert Idaho to celebrate the long weekend and most of all for Grandpa Grants 80th Birthday. We enjoyed some days of relaxing on the farm, swimming in the pool, being together with family, barbeques, and celebrating.

Talapus and Olallie Lakes

On Saturday Shane, Suzanne, Kamea, and I took a hike to Talapus and Olallie Lakes. It was a warm day but perfect for a shady hike. Shane wore his swim trunks and took a dip in the lake, next time Suzanne and I plan to bring our suits and floaties so we can get a tan. It was a beautiful way to spend a saturday. Kamea did great in the backpack, thanks to Joe and Shana for the hand-me down. Looking forward to using this pack many more times.
